you change it to the csc and versions of your current/original sw version and it will look for updates on that type
VIA is o2 germany, sephail put that info in to give you a working example

you need to know what your original firmware and csc was

Ok so i tried FUS on 3 computers (2 vista and one XP) and it didnt work on any of them The same error on all 3.

What version of .net frameworks do you have installed? What version of NPS?

Works for Me, XP Media Center, NPS (IH4) -> Note I have NPS running at the moment and phone plugged in.

On O2 UK, and when I add in the original shipped details

PDA I7500XXIH6
phone I7500XXIH6
CSC I7500O2UIH2
Nation XX
Model GT-i7500

It gives me the CURRENT version that I have (Which I updated with NPS when the fixed version was released)

PDA I7500XXII4
phone I7500XXII4
CSC I7500O2UII3
Nation XX
Model GT-i7500
(Modified 2009-11-03 4:24:34)

Feeding these back into the system, shows no further official upgrade.

Nice Work....

it works on my xp and win7 32 build just not my x64

ive got netframework 3.5 and im using nps ij1

Just search 'framework' in programs and features. Particularly anyone with vista!

My Galaxy is a GT-i7500L (I guess this means its for Latin America). I got this one from Tim here in Brazil.

My phone version codes are:

PDA: I7500LUIII1
Phone: I7500LUIII1
CSC: I7500LZTMII1

Which parameters should I use on nation code and model?

How to set proper "Suffix"?
Could it be extended from mobile phone?
I tried:

but I cannot find Suffix...

From examples I see that it is from CSC code (except SFR).
But for my phone provider (Play Mobile Poland) it is not working (or there is no updates...)
CSC: I7500PRTIH1
PDA: I7500XXIH9
Phone: I7500XXIH9
Suffix: PRT
Nation Code: XX
Model: GT-i7500

Hi All,

I have just got i7500, and very much new to android OS.
I wanted to update my firmware, below are details of my phone
1) Baseband:- I7500DDII3
2) kernel:- 2.6.27
3)firmware: 1.5

I tried to understand how FUS works, but i was not able to understand completely
could any one explain me what exact steps needs to be followed for updating the firmware.

Hi Samsungshah,
There is a great post here http://androidforums.com/samsung-i7500/36913-latest-firmware.html?highlight=baseband+codes to read which should help you a lot. I do not know which country your nation code "DD" stands for perhaps someone with the same could help you more. For an example in France I need to enter these codes into the FUS Downloader CSC Version: I7500BOGIG8
PDA Version: I7500XXIG8
Phone Version: I7500XXIG8
Suffix: BOG
Nation Code: XX
Model: GT-i7500
Or you could just download one of the latest firmwares IK4 ,IK5 and flash the phone using Odin if you are not bothered by not having your local CSC on the phone (If you are from Canada or Brazil please do not flash your phone ! ) Hope this helps a bit

For the second solution there is here http://androidforums.com/samsung-i7500/13692-how-odin-galexo-rom-s.html a good explanation as to how to Odin, if you are still stuck, could you explain the part you do not understand and I will try and help.

Can anyone upload a link to any India specific firmwares.
They are all I7500DD-xxx types.

I have one but its always rebooting the phone but its not I7500DDII3 : The one usually doing the rounds in most of India specific devices.

BTW: FUS never seemed to work for me
Always some crappy error message.
