Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I don't think normal shipping notifications are sent out over the weekend. Fedex hasn't even updated my shipping info since Friday and I'm pretty sure it has arrived somewhere by now. More people will b notified on Monday.

I ordered a phone on Verizon Wireless online last night. This afternoon (Sunday), I got shipping notice and I tracked it and FedEx showed it as picked up today. Now, this was a phone in stock, but I have now got notice from Verizon on Memorial Day and now a Sunday of a shipment by FedEx.

As for FedEx, like UPS it all comes down to the facility. Some are more diligent with scanning into system.

**** - Since it was Overnight Shipping and the Delivery date listed is Tuesday, I assume the actual pickup will be tomorrow.

FedEx updated my shipping activity twice yesterday (Saturday). My DI shipped Friday (3 updates from FedEx that day) then again when it arrived at Oakland, CA on Jun 5, 2010 3:04 AM and when it departed Oakland on Jun 5, 2010 12:00 PM. It is now somewhere between Oakland, CA and Portland, OR, if it's coming the same route as my husband's phone did last month. FedEx updated the shipping activity for his phone twice on a Saturday, too. It may depend on the individual FedEx facility, I don't know.

My much anticipated DI is due Tuesday, the 8th. :D Ordered May 19th. A very long 20 day wait..

EDIT: Both our phones shipped FedEx 2 day ~ not overnight.

I think this might be the case. I live in CT, and they've always updated tracking info on weekends and such. Too bad they don't deliver on them.

Got my shipping notification today!!

Ordered: 5/20 Online
Promised Ship By Date: 6/10
Shipped: 6/6 from Memphis, TN
Delivery Date: 6/8

Can't wait to get my phone on Tuesday!!!

Seeing more "worst-case" dates on 6/10 shipping out makes me more and more excited that I might see a shipping notice tomorrow or Tuesday, though as long as it hits by Thursday (for a Friday delivery) I'll be a happy camper! :D

Just double checking, but in-store orders receive a tracking email, correct?

The "trick" for the FedEx site isn't working for my order (5/22) so I'm just assuming it didn't ship or the number doesn't work.

I really hope it ships by Thursday with my Overnight shipping!
My husband and I ordered our phones in a corporate store and both of us received shipping emails from Verizon on the exact day they were shipped. Not before.

If, by "trick" you are referring to using your location code and order number, I don't believe it will work until the phone actually ships. At least it didn't for me. However, on the morning my DI shipped, I tried using the FedEx reference number tracking and it did work!

Good luck and speedy shipping! :)

Ordered 5/19
Delivery date 6/8 :D
Total of 20 days waiting :(

Very nice to know, definitely cleared it up for me. I suppose I'll check the FedEx site with my "code" in the morning until it ships from now on! :p

Not remotely possible for an Incredible if ordered from Verizon Wireless (I notice you did not say the phone you ordered was an Incredible). All phones are shipped in the order received at each local warehouse based on when payment was taken. This has been proven consistently.

If you ordered another phone, the other phone would have shipped. An Incredible ordered yesterday did not ship.

I ordered 5/21 in a VW store. Shipped 6/3. I did not get an email. I called CS 6/4 and asked for a status. The lady I spoke with had a great attitude and gave me all the info... :D
