USB Host Mode for the Nexus One!!!

Nexus One USB host driver - xda-developers

(Nexus One USB host driver)

Ok, what is it?

In a nutshell, it allows you to use USB devices plugged into the Micro-USB port on the N1 (with an adapter).

Such as:

Mouse
Keyboard
Thumb Drive

Use your N1 as a Web Cam

The possibilities are almost endless! :D

I have ordered what I need to do this with my N1 and will update, but if you have questions, post on XDA or here and I can try and help! :D

This might be the best reason to root your Nexus! If this requires rooting that is. I do hope not! Now your phone will be even more like a computer lol. I'd love to use my Nexus as a webcam :D

I added more details to my Nexus One Google Group:

Google Nexus One Owners | Google Groups

You will need root. You need to buy a couple cables. Lucky for me, I have some places locally that I was able to get the parts, now to just root and hook this up to my Keyboard, Mouse and 23" monitor and see how it goes. :D

Will have to wait until tomorrow, have to go see the kid today. :D

You can already use your N1 as a webcam, I use it as my main webcam all the time. Been released for like 4 months now too...free on top of that.

Thank you for taking the time to post this :)

I would rather have a great bluetooth keyboard app (Not FreedomPro since they are overcharging a**holes).

I dont understand why android doesn't have bluetooth support for HID devices :mad::thinking::mad::thinking::mad:

Can someone PLEASE come up with a suitable bluetooth keyboard driver for android? :(:(:(
