Seidio just posred pics of what the evo will look like with the 3500mah battery...

Dumb question: Do these batteries need to be made square? If not I wish someone would make one that comes out and maybe flattens out over the whole back of the phone so the extended back doesn't have to be as large.

Again, I know nothing of batteries though. I'm sure due to economies of scale these are commonized for several phones.

I think for one that *could* be a heat issue, as well as blocking the antennas for cell signal, wifi, bluetooth, etc.

i think only polymer battery can be molded to any shape and size.

This really looks to be the best that could be done for what HTC threw into the back of the phone. With the kickstand, speaker, camera flash, camera lens and the location of the battery, there's not much you can do to make it look any slicker than what Seidio already came up with, just my opinion here.

If you look at the photos that Seidio put up, the kickstand is not hindered by the bigger back case when sitting on a flat surface, if anything, it might actually help stabilize it.

I can see buying one of those for scenarios like being stuck on an airplane for 12 hours or going on a camping trip. Basically, any situation where it's just sitting somewhere besides my pocket.

I might buy one if the reviews are good and the price is right. It would be great to have one of these in my carry-on so I could watch movies with it for an entire trip or whatnot. Why not?

For people constantly on the go, the Solio chargers could work for them. Radioshack sells them and their 30 day return policy is very flexible.

I'm thinking about buying one just to have because it is really cool and in case I get those days where I forget to charge my phone or iPod or Mac.

But as for the Evo, I'm either at work or in my car, all I need is to buy my Evo iTip for my iGo car charger and I'm set. This battery is way to big and I want a case for my phone in case I drop it.

Seriously? Crap! I would have been glad to put my $20-off towards that. When I went there all I saw were crappy headphones and cases.

Well it's radioshack what do you expect, as a former employee who quit, I honestly don't know how they are still in business.

Anyways I didn't say they have the best choices, I just remember stopping by the other day and seeing one of those chargers, and well it got me intrigued. The Solio website obviously offers more but I'm sure someone out there has them for a cheaper price.

Just google that sucker:D

Actually not a bad idea. Would be great on a plane, airport.

I didn't think it was that bad looking. My battery life isn't that bad though.
I agree, its not that bad.
