Accessories Anyone received their Clarivue screen protector yet?

Finally received mine yesterday. I'm pretty happy with it. It's slightly smaller then the actual screen but with my seidio case installed it's hardly noticeable. At first when I took the film off it was sticky and I was worried but after a few minutes of being exposed to air that tackiness went away and it is VERY close to feeling like bare glass.

It took just over a week to receive mine. Even though I was trying to be careful (I even used the steamy shower trick to take dust out the air) I still managed to get two specs of dirt/dust and a small piece of hair trapped under it! Those spots aside, I like the protector. Will try putting the other one on they shipped me tomorrow, hopefully with better luck!

i kept getting some dust under mine. just get some scotch tape to lift the screen protector...then you the tape again and tap it over the dust/hair. should remove it...then put the protector back on and remove bubbles. took me about 20 min to get it perfect with no dust but that method def worked.

So a full week from when you ordered? Good thing they don't run an ebay store or sell on Amazon.

Why the hell did they even send me an email for "your order is processed for shipping". Just email me when you actually ship the damn thing!

yea took about a week. came via usps in just a normal envelope. cant believe it took that long. i ordered something on ebay coming from CA about 3 days ago and i also got that today.

applied my clarivue, here are some notes:

1. fit is not perfect, leaves a 1-1.5mm gap on the edges. pros - easier to place without worrying about getting it 100% correct, won't really get tugged up and fray the edges. cons- noticeable (unless you have a hard or silicone case).
2. proximity and front camera cutouts are ugly, but necessary i suppose
3. got two pieces of lint underneath, heart broken :( then i just pushed them out! the lint was at least 1 inch from the edge but for some reason with a smooth nail, i just pushed them out and now it's perfect!

i never tried to touch the naked screen for fear of oils staying on there, but i felt kind of bummed on the initial feel of the clarivue but after a few minutes of use, it feels really nice now. stilla finger print magnet though
I noticed that too. Right after you take top off it's really tacky, like a zagg screen, but after a minute or two i feels much better. It's much less of a print magnet then the naked screen.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic but I thought I'd share my screen protector experience thus far.

My first attempt at a screen protector was a phantomskinz. I liked its feel but after install it had speckles that would not go away even after a week. I also hated installing it with water.

I got the Clarivue screen protector and love it so far. Installed it without water, which I feel is the best way to install a screen protector, and have zero dust. It looks just like stock glass but as they suggest on their site, it is slightly smaller then the screen as was intended.

Overall, I'd say that the clarivue protector is almost the same in feel, and clarity to the phantomskinz but may be ever so slightly thicker. It is cut slightly smaller then phantomskinz, width wise, but neither protector is a perfect fit and it would probably be far less then a millimeter difference in total.

I'm willing to ignore the speckling issue on the phantomskinz and with that in consideration clarivue still wins because of its installation. You do not risk having water on your screen with an open earpiece. It's all personal preference I suppose. In the end it comes down to whether you want to install using water or spend a few more dollars.

I also liked the Clarivue anti-glare. Actually does feel 'smoother' than the glass (for ex. if you finger dry the glass screen has more friction).. but the clarity def. suffers with hte antiglare. Most evident on th ebootup screen .. al lwhite Sprint 4G screen.. thru the Clarivue looks terrible.

But I found that the Clarivue screens get 'bent' easily and when there is a small dent/crease in it, it's basically damaged as there will always be a bubble under there now. unfortunately mine got stuck on the case and got bent.

oh well
