Help charging x10 overnight, bad habit?

I've been leaving my x10 charged overnight (the digital clock app also doesnt lock screen when the phones plugged in and i like the look of it). It is very convenient because i never have to worry about the phone dying during the day any more.
Anyways, i did some reading here n there n there are mixed opinions and facts about overcharging li-po batteries. Anyone out there with some definitive answer? Is it a bad habit and should i stop doing it, or does it not matter? Am i killing the battery life span and/or damaging the phone itself somehow?

These are the latest and most expensive rechargeable batteries. They cost a lot of money at present, partly because the battery includes electronic charge and discharge control circuitry. They have an excellent power/weight ratio, and do not need to be discharged at all. In fact the electronics inside them stops them doing so! Li-Ion batteries cost a lot, can be topped up repeatedly without ill effects, and last for around 1,000 charge cycles.
