Help Just Noticed: Poor Video Quality After 2.1

I forgot my HD Camcorder and so used my phone's camcorder. And that is when I noticed the quality is horrible compared to video shot under 1.5. Video shot under 1.5 is not blocky at all and is clear. Under 2.1 it is blocky and poor. Anyone else with this issue and is there a fix in case I need to use it again? I do have it set on HIGH quality in the menu.

yeah i noticed the same thing and only fix i have found thus far is applying the nexus lightening rom 2.8 or above. here's a link on the how to:

just follow the directions. for the most part, they're pretty clear cut

You can also just apply the camera fix. Look under the development section for 2.1/ They have seperated the code out so you can apply the fix only if your not interested in the ROM. I have 2.9 and am very happy though so far.

Thank you for the info. I tried applying the new ROM using the old CL14 installer and it would not take the DE03 and root that you do prior to the new ROM. Not sure if the root I have on it right now is the issue. Not sure why. I am going to try again and if it fails again I will just try the camera only fix.

Agree with the previous poster. Fantastic heads up on having separate code, but I have searched around on SDX and can't find the independent update. Can you hook us up with a link, or at least some specifics for search terms?

Sorry. I had to look for it too. I just remember reading it. It comes with Dearmas ROM 2.8.
