Help I570EXXJD4 bugs

Hi all. i recently flashed my i5700 to I570EXXJD4 (thanks to Beerkan for providing along with instructions).

I've noticed some lag when scrolling and also app icons randomly dissapearing off the screens. I know of other bugs, like with facebook synching (i don't use facebook so not worried about that)

anyone else got similar bugs, or any more i should know about with this firmware - and maybe suggestions for a diff version?

Use a new Home replacement such as HelixLauncher. (v1 not v2).
And update Facebook app. But it's still crap anyway.

And I'm no longer on JD4. I'm on a hybrid. Once I get a stable JIT I'll repack my firmware and you're welcome to it.

i'm going to try a reflash of JD4 once i do a factory reset and format of my sd card - didn't do them last time.

Still haven't got round to updating to 2.1 (lame I know) - but would really be interested in a hybrid/best of breed firmware Mr Beerkan - look forward to it - cheers

P.S. Zeam is well worth a try as a home replacement as well - paired with Fancy Widget it makes a nice Sense-a-like expirience.

No, quite right (for backwards compatibility to older Android versions) - are they that good?

Just flashed (at last) to Eclair JD4..... what's your recommendations for a few nice mods (nice stable ones) - I liked the look of the LkMod v.2.5.1 but that only seems to be OK on JCE? Not anything to destructive either after installing all the apps again...;-)

Perhaps when the author updates it, for 2.1 I'll give it a try.

As to whether it's worth it, is personal choice. There are lots of LiveWallpapers to choose from. However, I'd rather have the choice to install them or not. If you're rooted, and have LiveWallpapers, checkout Market for new LiveWallpapers.

my head hurts. doing the 2.1 upgrade made my brain explode! i know i want to root for some nice features..and the mods look nice...but i have trouble doing hello world in php =O

You did, perhaps I confused things with my bad grammer, should of said "no it doesn't support live wallpapers, quite right (for backwards compatibility to older Android versions) - are they that good?"

And just to clarify (presuming you have used the mod above)??
This gives you a speedier i5700? does it give you root or presume you are already modded for root as I am on a stock JD4?

Steps to install?

1.) download the two packages, copy the TurboLibsBeta1.zip to the SD card
2.) Use Odin and just flash the PDA package (with standard flash options checked? do you need the ops file?)
3.) it reboots and drops you to some pre boot stage where you you can apply the turbolibsbeta1
4.) continues to boot or reboots and your back to your normal launcher with apps etc (if all goes well ;-)

so how does one root a 15700? can't see the phone listed in the rooting section =/

edit. i just some instructions on another site here - i guess their busybox thing is being used instead of turbolibsbeta1 ?

Combination of two posts above your last one and the link in beerkans post give you pretty much all the steps to apply the turbolibsbeta1.

Although it's not clear if it gives root after applying the new PDA package and the turbolibsbeta1?

Personally I wouldn't install the JIT alternative as it's still unstable, but worth a look to see what is possible.
