Accessories Variety of Evo Cases

I think he is saying make sure to give props to Seidio for giving ya a review unit early.

Even more specifically, I'm sure he means in the interest of fairness.

Typically, if a company sends you a product of theirs to review, it's possible there may be some reviewer bias involved.

Acknowledging that a product was provided by the company would at least make the readers aware of this.
i've already stated this in my prep thread

Ok, I have to say something with all these people looking at seidio. The Innocases SUCK. Absolutely terrible quality. To make things even worse, their customer service is worse then HP's. At least the HP reps try to pretend they care...

When I had a case break in the first 6 days I called and e-mailed them several times due to an issue with my amazon invoice link/image not being "readable". I tried a couple more times to startup the RMA process, but every time it was obvious that my tickets were forgotten about in the first hour and never remembered.
After being fed up with this, I called and finally got a response (3 months later :D) The woman said "Oh no problem I'll get this fixed for you". I got an e-mail the next day saying my RMA request had been denied due to the warranty having expired. . . . . . I forwarded them every old e-mail from my previous attempts at resolution, unfortunately they never contacted me back.

I owned the item for 6 days before it broke and couldn't get a damn RMA for an expensive P.O.S. piece of plastic.

Sorry, I'm high and sort of ranted.

But you get the idea.

DON'T BUY SEIDIO ACCESSORIES

Once a week I drop my BB Tour and iPhone. Both has screen protector and silicon case. Neither of them has a single scratch.
I was going to try the Seidio Case for the monster. Your experience just negated that temptation. Thanks

Wow, now that shows confidence in your case and screen protector! Do you always drop it on the same surface? Do you vary the distance of the fall? Is it your intent to test it until it fails? I never heard of anyone doing this, except in some product demo kind of scenario.

Hey guys I have also received a Review case from Seidio and while the case is awsome and I have written a review about it and in my opionion probably one of the best cases I have ever used I'm still selling it as I have always used all my phones naked. Anyway Seidio is selling the Case/Holster combo for $50 plus $15 for shipping. I'm willing to sell it for $50 shipped and I will ship today so that you have it before you get your Evo. PM me if interested.

No it is accidental confidence. Due to my job, I am on and off 8 or 12-ft A-Frame ladder 4-5 times a day. Carrying (2) phones, laser meter, and DSLR, one or 2 don't like the height. The surfaces - tile, marble, stained concrete, wood, asphalt....

I'm looking seriously at cases now. I've been using a horizontal case with a clip and a light velcro enclosure for years, so that's what I'm used to.

I was looking at going with something like this Amzer wallet case. However it (along with some other options) uses a magnetic closure.

Does anyone have experience with those? Do they hold well? I've had a couple of bad experiences with the velcro one failing and losing the phone at random spots, so I care intensely about that.

Also...um...aren't magnets around electronics, particularly electronics with storage in them, a Bad Thing? Back in my day we used to tell jokes about fools who'd attach their floppy disks to the fridge with magnets...

Well, no replies so I went at looked into this half (the half I can research myself). The answer is that flash storage like cellphones use isn't nearly as susceptible to "unwanted erasures" from magnets as hard drives and floppies (for those of you who remember floppies). It is true that the screens and other electronics can be messed up by magnets, but they'd need to be a fair bit more powerful magnets than you'd find in a case enclosure.

That seems to be the going wisdom, anyway.

I have a Seidio case for my HTC Fuze, and I love it. Perfect fit and feel.
A clip broke off after about 6 -7 months, and they quickly sent me a new one free of charge. I just ordered a new one for my EVO (the purple one shown on the first page), and am waiting for it to arrive.

As with any co., YMMV. But don't pass them by just because a couple of peeps had poor experiences. ALL companies screw up sometimes, and usually only the dis-satisfied post comments.

I have a Seidio belt holster for my EVO but since I added the Seidio Innocell 3500mAh Extended Life Battery and Door for HTC EVO 4G the phone is loose now. It doesn't fall out but there is about 1/2 " of space and the phone wobbles around. Is there some kind of fix for this....like adding some padding inside?
Thanks,
JP
