hi damian.
i jst rooted my samsung galaxy s phone and i would like 2 speed it up and customize it but im lost. i followed some stepsfrom xda but i dont understand what to do or how to do it. i download a few apps like sgs kernel flasher,rom manager, rom toolbox, busy box, no frillls cpu control, but none has helped me. and i dont understand all this talk about roms mods and flashing roms. nothing ive tried or found has helped me. do you have any suggestions on what apps to get? or roms to get? and if so would u mind explainning how i can get my phone to top notch performance. pretty plz!

Hi.
Well all of the tool you use is old and almost none use them.
My advice for you is to learn how Odin works.
Then you can flash a kernel thats way better then you ever had on the phone

Damian, I'm new at this Android stuff. I've got a SGS i9000. I've followed various instructions on XDA and flashed my phone to Froyo, used the Z4 to root, and OCLF. However, i found out that I can't use ROM Manager as Froyo uses 3e Recovery?
I then followed some advice on XDA to un-OCLF, and un-root the phone, and used SuperOneClick to root it. However, after that, although when I open z4 again it seems the phone is rooted, but I can't use OCLF to lag fix? But at the same time, OCLF recognizes that the phone has already been rooted.
Now it's worst off then before as it's running slow but I'm neither here nor there.
Any advice?
