  • There is obviously a problem with reception in my area. As I've stated already, part of my neighborhood gets weak reception. But it hasn't been a problem with any other phone my family or I have had or currently have. Other phones all do pretty well in spite of the weak reception. Drive out of my neighborhood to anywhere around town (~100K people) and the SGS3 and any other Verizon phone we've ever had does quite well. It's the weak reception areas that test a phone, not the strong reception areas. Clearly the SGS3, (or at least the FOUR SGS3's that we have had) don't do well in weak reception areas. But...I guess for some people they do. I just don't think it's a difference between their phones and the 4 that we have tried. It's something to do with how ANY SGS3 would handle whatever is wrong with the signal problems in my area. It's frustrating that 12 other smart phones from 3 different brands all are able to handle this area's signal problems just fine but a SGS3 can't.
