Hi Sorry for the delay in reply... if your phone is opening in recovery mode then it should also open in download mode (Home+vol down +power) to open in download mode.
just download a fresh firmware from samfirware.com for your phone.... please used the correct firmware for your model.. and flash your phone using odin.
