    Hmm, not sure where best to direct you... We have a ROM area where the ROM devs do their thing, but I don't know if there are instructional threads or things that anyone's setup to help guide one through that (I've haven't yet built a ROM myself, so I'm not sure where the best place to start would be).

    Well, I don't really know about that tool as I don't own the Spectrum...it looks like PrinceCorwin and others are reporting that its a false-positive, presumably due to the way that the exploit works?

    Maybe ask the folks in that thread if there are alternatives? (I'm guessing not--I know the rageagainstthecage root exploit was reported as having a virus due to the way it worked, but that was just a side-effect and consequence of trying to gain root).

    See what the others are saying--don't do anything you're not comfortable with or fully understand--rooting is not necessarily a easy road sometimes :).

    Yeah, I think what you posted was fine, but not being a LG Spectrum owner or rooter, I can't really speak to the actual rooting details.
