Let's glass this planet and go home!
"You secure that shit, Hudson"
"Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?".
"No, have you?"
Lol! Seen it so many times, I know the script. Classic film!
I may or may not have been wrong on the "glass the planet" thing... I'm sure it's from one of those. Anyway, definitely one of my all time favorites. Better than the first if you ask me.
Oh yes, one of the few sequels that improves on the original movie. After this, the franchise went downhill a bit though :(
I think Bill Paxton is underrated. He may have never had the big role, but he's always solid. Said one of my favorite quotes "I'm so hungry I could eat the ass out of a dead Rhinoceros"! Whatever happened to Paul Reiser anyway;)
Paul Reiser, yeah seems to have sunk without trace, probably went the same way as Tom Skerritt's career :)
Are you a fan of Ridley Scott's work on Prometheus? Sequel to that coming out soon, and I sure hope they answer the unresolved questions.
I was underwhelmed by Prometheus. Maybe I was expecting to much. I did get the premise but a lot of the characters fell flat. I mean, what was the deal with Charlize Theron's character... Sexy, evil, promiscuous space bitch?
I tend to agree. He did raise some big questions in the film, but some of the character development was lost. For me it was a nice diversion from the traditional chest bursting and skull cracking of the original films. He did try to link things up with the previous films, but it was a difficult one to pull off. Not sure he totally succeeded. Will be interesting to see where the sequel goes.
I'll check it out for sure. Maybe try not to get my hopes up to high this time. I really wish they would remake Dune. It is my #1 favorite sci-fi film. I keep hoping Peter Jackson will turn the series (not just book one) into one of his multi-film epics. Gotta keep it dark though.
