using the script as posted in the link above, its come back saying apps2sd is working without dalvik cache. what is this dalvik cache?

now when i boot the phone with the card in, the apps that start on boot just force close and when i try to open other apps they just forceclose....
am i right in thinking that if apps2sd is working, when i remove my sd card my aps wont run?
