Exact same here.
Preview users getting the OTA to official is news to me, I also flashed it manually though.
6.0 is massively outperforming lollipop on my Nexus 5, much like the previews did.
Not sure why people are posting here regarding issues for other phones. Google for that particular model would be the best option.
Mine seems ok but I regularly clean flash roms onto it, flashed 6.0 the other day and all good so far.
I'd have just factory reset the phone by now.
Lollipop works fine for me too (although I'm also on a custom rom with a tweaked kernel etc)
Marshmallow preview is down as 6.0 in system...
Yeah, can't skip updates OTA (wasn't 100% sure and didn't want to jump in there) only way to skip Lollipop altogether would be to flash Marshmallow.
It's a 5" (well, 5.2" by all accounts) Nexus phone, the new Nexus 6" is the Nexus 6, the 1st and 2nd gen Nexus 7 both had the same name etc.
Different internals and externals.
It's basically what Lollipop should have been. Cant wait for the official build to roll out.
I'm sticking with Sultans rom, battery life on it is the best I've ever seen on my OPO with no discernible slowdown.
N5 battery now at 30% with approx 3 days remaining.
Standby magic has been conjured.
Standby time on Marshmallow is unbelievable, as a test I installed Preview 3 OTA and charged to 100% on the 21st August at 4pm and I've just left...
Been using the SnapDragon Camera that comes with Sultans ROM, I'm a point & shoot fella and it works a treat.
@confed Yeah the battery life is really the only thing stopping me from basically committing already! I'd have loved the batteries of the Play &...
Next phone for me is the X style or Nexus I think. Just need concrete specs on the Nexus. Love the OPO still, I just have to have new things.
I'm hanging on for the nexus news (the moto X news is also in consideration right now)
The OPT isn't the dead cert I thought it was going to be.
Big fan of Google music, been using it since it came out.
Replaced my phone with the OnePlus One back in January (wasn't shelling out £500 for a Nexus 6)
Very happy with my choice still :)
You don't want to throw it away and don't want to pay for another party to fix it. Your options are very limited, pretty much to fix it yourself.
I agree, never said I liked it :D
Learned about Exodus there though so it's ok in my book for that alone!
People with the phone tend to use the official forums I think bud, I've pretty much got all the info I needed from there.
Far as I've been told Franco isn't available for 5.1 and above yet.
Absolute shite, I disabled it after about half hour of arsing about with it (it even worked a bit but not consistently)
