Or do this: One-Click Root for Stock Gingerbread (Droid X, Droid 3, Droid X2, Cliq and Cliq 2) [From the Forums]
Used that method on my phone...
Does anyone know how to get the stock GB launcher? I prefer it to all the others. It does everything I need, clean and simple.
I wonder if I...
I'd like to see the X get the new blur system icons the D3/X2 have (officially speaking), they're much nicer than the bland ones the X has on GB.
I don't think gapps comes with a file manager.
Just search File Manager on the Market (after installing gapps, perhaps thats what trooper...
I'm sure it's a lost cause as I've asked this everywhere but is it possible to get the CRT On animation as well?
Yup, it seems it is. Exactly the same in fact.
Derp, don't see why that wouldn't work.
Damn! Any chance of you making a flashable zip? :D
I could always use Root Explorer to apply it, right? If so where's the file located originally?
I'm half tempted to try this out again.
Any chance of getting the xml in a flashable zip that'll work on the other 2nd-init ROMs? I'd love that...
No, you need to be on Froyo as 2nd-init currently doesn't work on the GB kernels.
Eh? How? I could've swore if you have root you won't be able to install the update, let alone be notified of it.
Has anyone gotten the imoseyon tweaks to work with this? I flashed 7.1 last night and it was a no go when I ran the checktweak.sh in the Terminal.
Yes, you'll have root right from the start.
You have to go to mounts in CWR and format System, Data & Cache, then mount System and install the zip.
Man this is weird, I woke up and figured I'd give this one more try. Did things exactly the same as last night, only today it installed fine....
Still not working, I'm starting to wonder if my SD card has gone bad.
EDIT: Nope, installing 596 just fine. I think I'm gonna stay on the rooted...
Yes I did, but I don't think it matters if the file size is matching up correctly..
Will try this, but if this fails I am so done with this damn...
I've tried both leaving it there and moving it to the root of the sdcard.
186,163 KB (181mb), I'm assuming that's wrong otherwise this would work fine. I wish P3 would post up some links. D:
I'm starting to get really annoyed with this. I've SBF'd a number of times, redownloaded the damn zip twice (came up as the same file size both...
Ugh, I don't have a backup of 596 haha, guess I'll have to SBF and start from scratch!
Yup, so it should update fine. :)
P3Droid already tweeted as long as your on a .340 based ROM you can install the update right over the top. But you need to be on a .340 based ROM...
