If I do a FDR, will I lose my pictures on my phone?

Ok.. in the past week, everytime I take a picture on my Moto Droid it doesn't show up in the gallery. As soon as the picture is taken I can see...
I just watched a commercial on TV and it said Droid x 07.2010. Verizon Google. Maybe the OTA will finally be here in July. We can hope.
