Bootstrap makes a copy of your phones OS. Titanium is only for app backup. Use bootstrap.
Also, using DroidX Bootstrap is the best way to install...

Looks like you'll need to wipe your batter stats. Do this ONLY after your phone has been charged fully overnight to ensure the battery is at 100%....
Check to see if you downloaded the full maderstock340.zip file. Sometimes the downloads might not be complete.

This is probably impossible, but is there a way to have the notification bar clock not appear when on the homescreen, but appear when you open apps?
I don't know how to solve your problem, but, Droid X Bootstraper is much much better than ROM Manager.
