    What is background data?

    I'm trying to limit my data usage (since Verizon has now forced everyone to the awful new plans) so I'm going through my data usage sections in settings. I was clicking each application and I'm given the option to restrict background data. What does that mean? What is foreground data?

    Just forced off Unlimited data. What exactly uses up your data?

    I chose the 2gb plan even though I normally use over 3gb. I know whn I had unlimited, I never taped into Wi-fi, so I think 2gb is enough. But how do you make sure your not using data when you don't need to? I like to leave my GPS on (location/not maps) in case I lose my phone, I have an app...
