    Help Android Prism help with sound

    I have an Huawei Android Prism. when I got the phone, all that was on my screen was the lock/unlock slider...now there is that and on the opposite side(right) a bar for volume??? this volume bar was never there before and no matter what I do I seem to have lost my notification sound for texting...
