    Help Wireless connection

    When I am standing 5 ft from my router I get 1 bar on the wireless icon on the notification bar. My internet is almost always slow.My old s3 would have a great connection. My daughters s3 is in another room and as I write this she has 4 bars. Can I somehow fix this ? Is it a mechanical problem?
