Can anyone recommend a way of backing up the settings on my phone (preferably to a file or files and not via google)?
Kies never works for this and MyBackup also always comes up with an error message saying it cannot contact it's servers.

I've recently "upgraded" Kies to 2.0.1.11053_99. It used to work OK but now communication fails between the phone and Kies when in Kies mode.
Kies recognises the phone and lists it under "Connected Devices" but if I try and backup my data (after a long wait) it comes up with an error message...

A new icon has appeared on the notification bar (top) which looks like a phone with two wavy lines next to it on both sides. It looks a bit like the icon described as "vibration enabled" but it is not the same. Can someone tell me what it means?
