    Help Does the Droid need a cell signal for GPS?

    I'm in Iraq and I don't have cell service but I was trying to get the GPS to work and I didn't get anything. Do you need cell service for the GPS to work? The GPS symbol shows up but I got no map. Maybe I didn't let it search for satellite's long enough?

    Hello!

    I'm Matthew, I just got a Motorola Droid. I haven't done much with it yet because I'm in Iraq for another month or so and have no service. My uncle checked it out and activated it for me. He got one too, on my recommendation. It should be good to go once I hit the States again.
