alright, so i had cyan 5.0.7, and finally wanted to test out the frf50 froyo, so i could then install the recently leaked frf72.
i copied the pre-rooted froyo to my sd card and named it "update"
i rebooted
did a nand backup
wiped [just bc]
then flashed update.zip
then flashed gapps-passion...
Since we know the Nexus One isn't the loudest phone out there, what have you found to be the most useful application to increase your phones media/call volume?
the stock one is ok, but i want something with more options.
what is your favorite, or if there is a BEST app out there, to replace the stock picture frame?
please & thanks!
****ROOTED ONLY****
What is the fastest down/up speeds you have received from the Speedtest.net mobile program in the market?
My recent one is:
Home WiFi - 11598/2359
3G - 588/395
BTW, I am on a wifi signal, not 3g.
I think I need to do a radio update.
I have never done one...
When you have booted into RECOVERY MODE, and you are either trying to make a Nandroid backup or restore, and you get a "Run nandroid-mobile.sh via adb!" error, then try these things:
SD Card - it could be too full to write a recovery.
Try deleting some things and try again.
"Nandroid folder"...
I have tried multiple things, but I'm still stuck at the boot loading screen with the X.
I had cyan 5.0.4. - I wiped and flashed to 5.0.5 and now i cannot get past the boot.
I've tried booting back into recovery and wiping and doing a nandroid recovery to 'amon's recovery 1.7.0' but to no...
should i do nandroid backups every time before i install a metamorph theme?
can the themes cause issues that would make not doing a nandroid backup a bad idea?
if anyone has this file can they upload it somewhere? please!
modaco's site just redirects me to the home page when i click the download link.
no, right-click 'save as' doesn't work either.
edit: nevermind. i found it hosted somewhere.
this thread can be closed.
Started at the unlockr and first thing to do is setup ADB.
so i download the sdk kit and extract it to my C drive.
now...getting ready to install files to my phone...nope!
since i have windows 7 it says i need to get HTCsync.
so now i have to grab that.
i install it and yet i have to branch...
after rooting the phone...what kind of customizations can be done to the notification bar?
the reason i ask is because a lot of people use battery and clock widgets.
i don't need to 2 of everything on my phone.
can the notification bar be taken away or not show a clock or battery symbol?
i have all the files here in a folder to do everything i want regarding rooting it and editing the crap out of it.
the only thing that is holding me back is the warranty.
will i VOID my warranty if root my phone?
i have heard both yes and no!
who am i supposed to believe?
I joined a few days ago and am just now saying hello to everyone here.
I used to use the sidekick phones since sidekick 2 all the way up to the sidekick lx 2009.
I have now switched to the Google Nexus One and i absolutely love it.
