    I power my Desire down at night. Sometimes I forget if I have powered down so the only way to check is to press the power button. If I have switched off the unit then powers up and goes through it's start up procedure before I can switch off again. It would be handy to know if it is in sleep...

    Has anyone tethered an iPad with the Desire ?

    Has anyone done this with a standard HTC Desire. I've read this can only be done with a rooted unit which I don't want to do. I have a standard T mobile unit which I would prefer not fiddling with as I'm not tech savvy. Can it be done ?

    Google Earth ?

    Sorry for a noob question but can I get Google Earth on the Desire. It came with Google Maps and I read on another post someone also had Google Earth. I have been on the Android Market but a search doesn't bring up Google Earth. Has anyone installed Earth as well as Maps ?

    Mapdroyd doesn't recognise intqalled SD

    Downloaded Mapdroyd but tells me to check an SD card is installed on startup. SD card is clearly there and plays MP3 tracks on it but Mapdroyd doesn't recognise it and quits so maps can't be downloaded. Anyone else had this ?
