    Sprint BOGO Sale Leaked

Perhaps Sprint will include the 32GB GS3 in the sale this time. I'd love to do a BOGO for two of them...

    ComputerWorld Evo & iPhone4 Comparison

Interesting comparison here - Real-world testing: iPhone 4 vs. HTC EVO 4G - Computerworld. I don't think it was as much of a "which is better" as a comparison of how they work differently and then which the author prefers. The summary's actually what happens - the author says iP4's the choice...

NYC Times Square 3G and 4G Speed Results

I did Speedtest.net tests to get my own speed results to compare against CNET. At 4:30pm 3G averaged 1000 down and only 100 up. At 7:30pm it was 1110 down and 300 up. At 9:50pm it was 2100 down and 750 up. Quite a swing but down was always fast. Surfing was swift. Sending pix not so much...

    4G Speed Near Newark Airport

I was at the Newark Airport yesterday and got 4G. Averaged 5700 down and 1075 up. Signal was 2-3 bars but did not extend into Newark or south into Elizabeth. Signal only on exit 13a on NJ Turnpike.

Evo Outduels iPhone 4 on. CNET Prizefight

Thought you might enjoy this comparison. With Froyo, this wouldn't have been close. Product reviews and prices, software downloads, and tech news - CNET is the link. Doing this while traveling so sorry I couldn't do link.

Isyncr Vs DoubleTwist Music Apps -Anyone Tried Both?

I've heard mixed reviews about DoubleTwist with Evo. Some say good, some say too complex, some say not worth the time and effort. What I haven't seen is much on the app iSyncr which is supposedly much more simple and set up specifically for easy conversion of iTunes music and playlists. Has...

Has Sprint & Evo Caused VZW to Hang On to Unlimited Data Plans For Now?

Just read on CNET that VZW will be introducing Moto Droid X and possibly other phones this summer with plans that will include unlimited data. I'm thinking possibly that Sprint and Evo had as much to do with it as VZW trying to stay one up on ATT. I think the annoucement's a little late to...

Will Sprint/HTC release Froyo on Evo Next?

Anyone else think Sprint/HTC will release Froyo on the Evo to help maintain sales momentum through July and August? I'm hoping they do, but wondered what everyone else is thinking. I know the update history is slow, but they both have a lot invested in maintaining Evo sales volume so it would...

Evo 4G Looking Better and Better Than Droid X?

Looks like VZW is about to enter the world of tiered data with ATT. How's the unlimited 3G/4G on Evo looking right about now? Can't wait to see what happens as all these new superphones get released but cost an arm & leg to use. It's getting ridiculous, and I sense that it will take something...

    Voice Texting

Anyone doing Voice to SMS Texting with Evo? I've been doing this as a trial and am mostly satisfied. I haven't figured out if there's a way to do full control from start to send without touching the phone, but it's definitely close. Still can't do it while driving, but you can easily do it...

Evo Causing ATT to Raise ETF for iPhone Contract Breakers?

Just wondering if anyone noticed that ATT announced that effective June 1, it's raising the contract fee termination for iPhone users to $350? That's double the $175 charge currently in place. I said start looking for iPhones on eBay before the Evo releases .....:D

    Forwarded Call Charges

I'm on ATT now but switching to Sprint soon. How does Sprint handle calls forwarded from landlines that are provided by cable service? My initial thought was that they're probably treated like landlines and count against minutes, but then I thought maybe not since they're not traditional...
