    Help GSM Alphabet or Automatic

Is it better to have your SMS input as GSM Alphabet or Automatic? I know you can't send the symbols if you have it as GSM Alphabet. I just wanted to make sure there would be no adverse effect by switching to Automatic. Cheers.

Negative Changes Re: Jelly Bean 4.1.2

Finally had 4.1.2 rolled out to my S3 on T-Mobile (UK). First thing I've noticed is the keyboard when texting feels different and not for the better? Is it me or does Word List seem to have been replaced with "Personalisation" options? Can you no longer just press "space" when you wish to...

Question Re: WiFi and Power Save Mode

Just wondering how many of us use the Power Save feature? Also, does enabling WiFi even when the phone is asleep drain the battery excessively? I noticed it was set to switch to data when the phone was asleep and it took a few seconds to reconnect to wifi when the phone was woken up.

    A few random questions.....

Just a few random questions for fellow S3 users. Do you keep all your apps updated, including those which came pre-installed that you never use? I've got updates for things like ChatON, AllShareCast Dongle S/W Update - both of I've never used and have no idea what it is. They seem fairly...

Question Re: Facebook App On S3 4G LTE

Is anybody else unable to get the Facebook Pop notification sound to work on the preview menus or if you select it for the notification tone for the app? It works in the music player but not on the preview menus or if you select it.

    Facebook

Is it me, or is the Facebook app poor? Eg. Notifications don't work? I also can't get the "Facebook Pop" notification to work. It plays in the music player, but doesn't play in the notification menu.

    Wallpaper Question

I've just downloaded a wallpaper to my laptop, transferred it to my Dropbox folder and exported it onto my phone. I can set the wallpaper ok, but I need to go into the gallery rather than wallpapers. Is there a way I can place the wallpaper with the rest of the wallpapers to keep everything tidy?

    Noob Question

As we're all aware, the S3 takes a micro sim card. What happens to my existing normal sim card? Does this still work if I put it in another phone? Or does this stop working? Just curious as my S3 is now on charge (still switched off) with my new sim card inside it and I am still using my HTC...

    Hints and Tips Most Welcome

My S3 should be here tomorrow. The handset is a little larger than I would have liked, but I've been told by many people that the phone is pocket friendly. I've upgraded from a HTC Desire so I'll be interested to hear from anybody who has made the leap from a HTC device with Sense to a Samsung...

Upgrading To The One X On T-Mobile In The UK

I think I will upgrade to the One X+ from my HTC Desire. However, T-Mobile don't seem to be carrying it so I was wondering what my options were. Phones4U are stocking it, as are places like DialAPhone and MobilePhonesDirect - are these my best bets to upgrade?

    Upgrading Through Mobile Phones Direct

Has anybody upgraded through these before? If so, what was your experience like? I usually upgrade through T-Mobile (UK) theirself. However, T-Mobile don't seem to be carrying the phone I am interested in - the HTC One X+. Just after some general feedback before I take the plunge. Cheers.

    Considering A Change

I'm due an upgrade and it's a two horse race between the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC One X. I've obviously done a lot of research on both phones and I'm still torn between the two. I've never used a Samsung Android handset before so TouchWiz would be a new experience for me. I'm used to...

Is this handset still experiencing problems?

I've had my eye on the One X for quite a while, right back when it was just a rumour! The only reason I didn't take the plunge as soon as it was released was because of all the horror stories. Every device has teething problems but I was curious whether the device is still suffering with...

    Upgrading Through A Third Party

I'm currently with T-Mobile and I am happy with them. However, it would be an added bonus to have an unbranded handset with no bloatware, which will also mean I don't have to wait for OTA updates. In order to do this I would have to upgrade via a third party such as The Carphone Warehouse. I'm...

    Camera Lense Protection

What's the best way to protect the camera lense on the rear of the phone? I've noticed that it's raised slightly and wouldn't want it getting scratched when placed face down. Would one of those silicone gel type cases offer it enough protection to keep the lense from coming into direct contact...

    Couple Of Questions

Is the One X (possibly with a silicone gel case) pocket friendly in a normal sized pair of jeans? Will it fit into the back or front pockets easily? I'll be upgrading from a Desire and the "menu" button is used to bring up options when in application. There is no "menu" button on the One X...

Any other Desire owners due an upgrade?

I've been due an upgrade since the end of last month but I'm not sure what to go for. The S2 is the best spec phone available at the moment, followed by the Sensation and the likes of the XE and XL. The Google Nexus is due to be unveiled in the UK soon and that's another option. Then there...

Considering a Samsung Galaxy S2 as my upgrade.....

As the title says, I'm considering the S2 as my upgrade. I will be coming from a HTC Desire which had limited internal memory, so I like the sound of 16GB of internal memory! I was just wondering if whole apps and music and videos can be stored on the 16GB of internal memory? Any pros or cons...

    Help Radio Brick

Purely out of curiosity, what causes this problem? As some will be aware, I suffered this problem while attempting to unroot (it kept failing on the radio) so I could send my phone off to repair the rebooting problem I also suffered with. I'm tempted to re-root but I am reluctant to do so...

    App Suggestions Required

Since I've been using an unrooted Desire without a custom ROM I am missing various features I was used to. Is there a decent ad blocking app for non-rooted handsets? Also, is there an app which will let me use the trackpad to wake the phone up? I'd forgotten how annoying it was to keep...

Root Restoring via Titanium on Desire with new IMEI number...

Help Moving Game Data To New Phone

I will hopefully be getting my Desire back in the next few days. It basically became a brick and has now been fixed under the warranty. Is there anyway I can retrieve my Angry Birds high scores? I have a Nandroid Backup on the SD card, but I won't be able to restore the scores unless I root...

Help Returning Your Desire For Repair

Just after a few opinions really. I'm due to send my HTC Desire off for repair (the dreaded rebooting problem) but I'm unsure whether to deal with HTC directly or go through T-Mobile - with who I have a contract. Do T-Mobile even use HTC to repair their handsets? What would you do? Or what...
