I've had my Droid X since release. I just did the latest OTA update from Verizon. The phone seems to be running slower than it did brand new. I'd like to reset it back to factory specs then restore my apps. What's the best way to accomplish this?
Lately I've noticed the GPS icon at the top of the screen even when I'm not in a GPS app. It's definitely affecting my battery life. I've rebooted the phone a few times. I used Google Maps last night, but closed it before I went to bed. This morning my battery was really low and the GPS icon...
Anyone try Trillian yet on their Droid X? I just downloaded it this morning but so far I'm enjoying it more than Fring. Here's the link if you want to check it out Trillian for Android
Post your favorite live wallpapers here!! Some of the Galaxy S live wallpapers look pretty cool but apparently you have to root your phone to add them? Damn.
This is for anyone that has installed a fully body invisible shield type product on their Droid X. When holding the phone, do you prefer the way it feels with the shield, or do you prefer it naked?
I switched to Launcher Pro and I'm loving it so far. However, one of my favorite Motorola widgets was Contact Quick Tasks. It doesn't work since Launcher Pro doesn't support sizable widgets.
Are there any widgets similar to Contact Quick Tasks?
I'm definitely not going to apply all of these pieces. In fact, I may just apply the screen protector. I ordered this before I had my Droid X and I really like the texture of the phone.

I just bought a Verizon Network Extender. When I dial #48 it says I'm within Network Extender range. When I make a call my signal bars jump from 0-1 to 4-5. When I end the call it's back down to 0-1. Is this right? I was hoping the extender would help with my battery life as it wouldn't be...
I'll start

The Scosche USB12V2. It has two 1A (1000mA) USB ports. Most car chargers are 500-600mA which means the phone is barely charging if you are using it for GPS, etc. Since it has standard USB ports, you can charge a plethora of devices.
$9.56 shipped from Amazon if you have Amazon Prime...
I am selling TWO new-in-box Ghost Armor full body shields for the HTC Evo 4G. The shipped price through the Ghost Armor website is $55.93 ($49.98 + $5.95 shipping). I am selling these for $35 shipped through UPS Ground. Buyer must have a confirmed PayPal address.
On the Motodev site it says 3630 (link). On the TI OMAP Wiki it says the 3630 is 720MHz and the 3640 is 1GHz (link). As we know the Droid X is advertised at 1GHz.
So what is the deal? Is it actually a 3640 or an overclocked 3630?
The dock will plug into the phone's Micro USB and Micro HDMI ports. These are pretty small, and located near the corner of the phone. It seems like docking the Droid X will be a two-hand operation - both attaching and detaching. I'm worried it may be more of a chore than a convenience.

Hopefully soon we'll see 2D and 3D benchmarks from the Droid X. What apps are best for benchmarking? In the past I've used fps2d for 2D and Gears for Android for 3D.
This was driving me crazy so hopefully it helps some others!
Remove the widget from your screen.
Add Widget > Clock (HTC).
When prompted, un-check "Show full screen animation".
I know Best Buy will soon be selling a charging dock which also has a mini HDMI connector. Not only do I not need HDMI out, it seems like it may be more difficult to dock the phone with this additional plug.
Has there been any talk of a dock that only charges? Thanks.
