The "bump-charging" issue is NOT an issue in reality

Long story short, I have had the 1200mah stock, the 1850 Seido and now the 2100mah Verizon. I've had many ROMs, 2.1, 2.2, custom, etc. No matter what the phone drops battery level fast if you let it charge to 100% overnight for example and take it off. Many people know about this. What I've...

Root Help!!! Vibrate not working properly after 2.2 leak

I was on 2.1 stock, did the leaked ota and then the 2.2 leak. Everything is working great but I've noticed vibrate is not working for notifications. It seems to work for haptic feedback and on calls BUT apps like gmail/messages/chompsms/others don't vibrate at all even if it's enabled. What...

Incredible's AMOLED screen vs Evo larger LCD

I have an Incredible and a friend just got the Evo. I also went to HTC's Evo launch party in NYC so I've had my fair share of time with it and I have to say, IMHO, I was shocked at the difference in AMOLED vs LCD. I never really gave much thought to it and I always thought it wouldn't really...

Help Fring app - video calling works on Incredible

SO yes, it doesn't have a front facing camera like Evo BUT the Fring app works perfectly and will let you do video calls with the Incredible. This is actually excellent news for me. A lot of the times I couldn't care less who sees me but I want to see them (daughter, wife, etc.). This way they...

    YES! Bluetooth file transfer works!

In case people hadn't tried, it appears BT file transfer works perfectly with the Incredible. I paired it with my Macbook with no issues and then was able to send over a file to my Incredible via BT. Came across perfectly fine. Goes in the sdcard\downloads\bluetooth\ folder. This phone just...

Bluetooth eating up battery life in standby?!

For some reason, which I can't figure out yet, when I go to Settings -> About -> Battery and look at usage, my cell standby is always highest which is fine but Bluetooth is always #2! I'm talking on average it's always 25% or close to that. This seems odd because it's just on, not connected to...

Sprint HTC Hero with 1800mah battery, cable and charger

I'm selling my Sprint HTC Hero with the 1800mah battery, cable and charger. It's been flashed with the Sprint 2.1 RUU so it's 2.1 out of the box so to speak. I will flash with official Sprint 2.1 if it's out before sale ends. It's in good condition but has the end button sticker peeling and...

First app to support Incredible Internal storage

A private beta of DoggCatcher (podcast catcher) just got updated to allow downloading of podcasts to Incredibles internal storage. I'm sure it'll be on Market soon but this is a good sign that developers will start supporting that internal storage so it's useful. Btw on a side note...

Getting Android-Wifi-Tether to work with Sprint 2.1 RUU

I went from a stock 1.5 to 2.1 using the Sprint 2.1 RUU and all is well. I understand it's a dev build and as such is already root but when I trying installing android-wifi-tether (both 2.0 and 1.6) it all looks well except when I touch the icon to start and it fails. The 1.6 version did report...
