I saw a couple threads about rooting an Android Tablet using Kingo(IIRC that was the name) but it was Windows only so my question is, if you're running Linux and want to use your computer to root your tablet then is there something you can download and run that'll work like Kingo?

I'm trying to check for updates to the OS on my Insignia Flex 15AT08, 8" tablet and keep getting the "Check Failed! Please check your network connection!" error. I know I'm connected to wifi so I do have a network connection. I just can't understand why I can't check for updates. My Flex 7"...
So far I really like Dolphin for a browser. It's a lot more like the browsers I use on my laptops then either Chrome or Firefox although I do use Firefox on my laptops and it works great there but looks nothing like or doesn't work like it does on a tablet.
