    What does 'Buddies Now' widget actually do?

    The Buddies Now widget doesn't seem any different from adding a shortcut to a Contact? I thought it was supposed to show you the latest status updates etc., but it really doesn't seem to do anything much at all?

    Hi

    Just got my first Android phone - Samsung Galaxy SII - pretty cool but still working out how to use it to best advantage. First proper smartphone I've owned, last phone was a Nokia 5800 - dreadful piece of kit.
