this happened when the URL changed

I had to put in a request with Xfinity for them to whitelist the site with their "Advanced Security ". It looks like it processed as I couldn't access the site on my home network for a few days.

    Breaking and Entering

Same here. Can probably just use a 256gb flash drive and call it a day. Should still be accessible through the app and with the same retention/deletion protocol but it's stored locally, with maybe more storage capacity that way. Definitely still an easy, low cost and effort, camera setup...

You can store locally with a flash drive or it will stay on the cloud (free) until you delete or it's overwritten (oldest to newest). I forget how much cloud storage is the default.

What Did You Get For Christmas 2023

I built a new gaming pc prior to my medical leave beginning, that was my x-mas present this year. I knew I needed to do so beforehand as I wouldn't be able to afterwards for awhile. It's all together except a new GPU as there are some new ones releasing in about a month that will affect the...

    Breaking and Entering

I haven't paid anything aside from the hardware involved. I have 2 entrances, so 2 cameras. You will have to get a kit with a sync module so that they communicate but it should be included when you purchase (double check the package before purchasing).

    Breaking and Entering

It depends on how much you'd like to invest. I use Blink branded motion cameras over wifi. Have one in front and one in back. They run on lithium AA batteries and can be moved easily since they aren't wired up. I can access them from anywhere I have an internet connection - usually phone...

How do you Celebrate Christmas 2023???

At home, just the wife and kids. Post-op so longer travel isn't an option. Going to watch the kids open presents and will have a rib roast for dinner with whatever side dishes we choose.

The Continued Downfall of American Healthcare

Well back home as of yesterday afternoon. $100 OOP or so, not too bad. I feel SO much better. Walked 5.5 miles each of the last 2 days. Walking through the airports yesterday I made most of the other travelers look like snails. Not quite 100%, still have some minor pain and discomfort, but...

The Continued Downfall of American Healthcare

Yeah, I actually feel pretty damn good all things considered. Just sore but that's to be expected. Now if the hospital could have found my personal belongings promptly after the surgery it would have been a breeze, it took them 2 and a half hours to find them - still in the locker where they...

The Continued Downfall of American Healthcare

There is nothing out of pocket with anything directly related. I have a prepaid debit card for food and hotel, the 3rd party administrator booked my flights. The only things they aren't paying for is alcohol (lol) or anything I forgot to pack.

The Continued Downfall of American Healthcare

Well, I forgot to update over the last few months, but I had a microdiscectomy this morning. Cleaned up some bone and the disc that was bulging on my sciatic nerve. So far, so good. Best of all it's cost me a total of $35 so far. Did have to travel to Tulsa due my employer's insurance...

A Conversation With the Makers of the Galaxy SmartTag2

I have the SmartTag 2. Currently using it to keep track of my backpack that holds my work laptop (which I am awaiting a new work laptop). It works, but for remote location tracking there has to be a Galaxy device nearby with communication enabled.

Best Samsung Week Deals! [OCT 2023]

I didn't get it through Samsung but I did order my oldest daughter a S23 FE to replace her A52 5G from T-Mobile. Traded in my wifes old S7 Edge that has been sitting on my desk for years and got a $400 trade in credit bringing the phone price down to $199.99. I saw the deal for the entire FE...

Best way to protect phone camera lens?

I've used similar at work (horizontal slide instead of vertical) then on my S22 Ultra and now S23 Ultra. The only flaw I have found is when you are trying to get a shot quickly. Other than that they work great.

I need help choosing a tablet

That is the A8. It is limited to 4gb of Ram and has a lower end CPU. Not knowing exactly what you'll be using it for I can't recommend it. There is probably nothing inherently wrong with it, but you mentioned work use so going from that you would probably want something more time efficient...
