    This and that.
    Here
I realise there isn't really a source for this and is just a forum post, but still found it interesting none the less...

I would be impressed if it actually happened.

Without a reliable source, you can't claim it didn't either. ;) It's things like this that show ancient civilizations were far more advanced than we're led to believe.

the artifact by itself is amazing...

it has an area for carrying things and people.
has a tail fin for steering.
engine type thingy in front of the tail fin.
    tail wings for control
    "V" shaped wings for speed.

all these things really say a lot.. just by themselves.

imagine you on a dig... and finding one of these artifacts.
What the hell are these? they are not birds!!!!
My mind would be blown away!

Because we've been led to believe the ancients were primitive. Not a lot of people know what Nikola Tesla was doing only a hundred years ago so can imagine it's hard to grasp what they were capable of thousands of years before. In a few cases we're still catching up with them.

For example, it was only in the last century we mapped the planets in our solar system, but the Mayans had already done it thousands of years ago.

I saw a similar segment on TV... It has to be true lol.

If not for ancient aliens theories and UFO hunting... They could drop half the channels on my cable lol.

This, I'll agree with, but then again, I've got reliable sources to back up this information.

That's quite a leap to make considering how stylized their animal art was...

Also the fact that it flies isn't especially impressive considering that I've seen remote controlled planes shaped like lawnmowers, stars, or boats that flew beautifully.

Exactly...it's an art piece. Who says it has to exactly mimic whatever insect they may have been modeling the piece after.

Even after watching the video do you not find it strange that when upscaled it's aerodynamically correct and can indeed fly?

    so what it can fly??
    2 things..

    1. putting propellers in front of most shapes that have some type of wing... can fly.

    2. they did not copy the artifact... exactly the same! look at the wing on the flying model. they added the correct shape to give it lift! big in front down to a point in back.

I think ancient humans are cleverer than we think
In these prosperous, cultured civilasations ideas flourish
"proven to be a replica of an ancient aircraft." just doesnt fly :)p) with me
As for those patterns - the Earth is a big place for plenty of these weird things to be formed by chance

I would bet that lots of these things could be "upscaled" and made to fly. My view is that some people want to believe in alien astronauts and that visitors have visited us a thousand whatever

Regarding the above figurines. If you add heads to the top of each, it could just be broken figures of women.

If you really want to make your head hurt, Google things that people have found inside chunks of coal. Pretty wild.

Not to mention, those amazing scenes of animals that can be found in some forms of agates.

Ancients worked with what they had and largely, what they had was absolutely no scientific knowledge about the world and how it really worked. Just guessing and superstition; gods of all kinds abound and to say they had help from ancient astronauts is absurd and silly and goofy.

As you said, it could be figures of women. It ain
