Root 10C OTA Update

Looks like we'll be having a new software update on our hands really soon. LG released the 10C kernel source on the 24th of this month so we should be seeing an OTA within 2 weeks. As far as i can tell it's still android 4.4.2, so not exactly sure if this is a bug fix update or if MPCS wanted to update some radio related things on the L70. Anyway we'll find out soon as for now, most of guys probably know im already working on a ROM thats based on 10B. I'm stopping all work on the ROM since im at a point where i can scrap my work and redo it on 10C. When the OTA comes about, and we find out whats changed, i'll make the decision on whether to continue working on 10B source if the changes aren't dramatic with 10C, or start freshly off 10C. No telling on when the OTA will be out but my guess is under 2 weeks, If you do get the OTA allow it to download but do not let it install. Use a file explorer and navigate to /cache and you should see a zip file, copy it to your sdcard and upload it for me.

You need to be on completely stock, meaning stock recovery, kernel, and no changes to the rom whatsoever, in order for the OTA to install otherwise you'll get an error. Once i have the OTA in my hands by one of you following the instructions above^^, i'll be able to create a flashable zip for everyone to update even if they are not on completely stock ROM.:smokingsomb:

I guess updating OTA will undo the root. But it should not brick rooted phone. Am I correct?
As long as you're on stock and you're rooted but no edits to the system whatsoever, yes it should not brick. Might have to lock your bootloader again too but we'll get to that point when we get to it.

I'm on stock and rooted, I used Gravity box and I'm not sure if I changed one small thing. Will I get bricked? Also is the update FORCED?

No, if the OTA detects even the small change it will abort installation. No the OTA is not forced, you can install it when ever you want.

I just saw my phone try to dl the update but it says i dont have enough space. My internal has over 700mb open and it says the dl is only 201mb, im all stock, rooted. Any idea why it says i dont have enough space?

Sd card partitioned with aparted, link2sd and also using foldrmount

Try going to settings/storage and click cache to delete it. I know its part of 'internal' but it has its own partition that's a limited size. It makes sense to me..

Does PhilZ root recovery root 10C update?
There is a reroot system option (uses SuperSU binary) so I think so.. Its what I used to reroot cm12
But 10C update has radio/recovery/boot updates in it so it might brick your device or replace everything back to stock
