As a Verizon wireless employee I get to play around a lot with the phone and today I found that the stock battery out of the HTC Ozone (which is a 1500 mah) fits under the battery cover of ourEris. It is a hair thicker, but it fits.

I just checked the price and its listed at $39.99 and if your VIP or have an employee discount you could get it for $30

i just want the software fix to fix the battery.
i dont wanna pay anymore.
though, i may pay for the seidio battery...1750mh!

how much more time would the 1750 be, like 10 or 20 percent?

I think just having 2 batteries would be fine.

Suit yourself, carry 2 batteries around if you want. I'm fine with a bigger battery.

When i had the samsung omnia i had 2 batteries with a charging dock.swapped out the battery when i came home from work if needed.

i had the omnia :)
ugh...i think i grew grey hairs cause of that.
but i did get sometimes 24 + hours using a 6.5 rom.
my co worker has an iphone and he said "your battery last so long because, its so wack you cant do nothing with it."

he was right:eek:

The omnia would of been a much better phone with the android os.

Good for you. I refuse to have to resort to that.

I just think, even if i had the 1750, i probably would rely on 2 batteries, because there are days where the phone gets used heavily during the day and if it drops tp 30 or 40% by night and i am anticipating some long calls that night, its good to know i have a full battery in the dock.

I may get the battery for the Imagio and put it in. The Eris will be so cheap for me after my corporate discount (Will only be $65) that it is worth it. Otherwise, I am forced to buy a more expensive phone such as the Droid or Touch Pro 2-the Eris is plenty capable if it was not for the battery issue.

That's not a bad idea. Here's a charging dock that I've been considering:

I'm still playong around with the phone a lot and I just went almost 36 hours in between charges on this battery

So would using a different battery than a standard Eris bat. have any effects of the warranty of the phone?

received charging dock today.Works fine. I guess that clear stick that goes in the blue led whole will turn green when an extra battery in the dock holder gets fully charged, because it doesn't turn green when the phone is fully charged:thinking:

I was looking at the 1500 battery as well....

Anyone bought this? I am very interested in something that holds a charge a bit longer...so what if they fix the battery problem in Jan? At least with the 1500 battery, it will last even longer!

I am not even a power user....I have talked on it for maybe 30 minutes today, sent 5 text messages, received 4 text messages, maybe 3 emails...all wifi / bluetooth / gps are turned off....I took it off the charger at 8am, it's now 4:53 and dead....I think the awake time was like 22%. That's awful....
