If the eris calibrates to the battery, then these aren't gonna be accurate.

The whole 3 days of full discharge to "condition" the battery seem more likely to be calibrating the phone to the battery, so switching daily is gonna give it odd readings.

I'd say give it 3 cycles of complete discharge then compare the final day of each cycle, see how it looks then.

    Thanks though

That sounds like good advice, good info.

About the device's back fitting to the new, larger capacity battery, mine is perfect, but I read in another thread around here somewhere that some have had a bit of space show between the body and the cover after putting the new one in.

The theory brought up in that thread was that those with the problem might have been getting earlier batteries that were put out before the company addressed the issue, that is why many of us getting them recently have not seen the problem.

I'm beginning to consider the 3500 battery. It says that it only adds 3-4mm to the phone. That's what? An eighth of an inch? But $70...? I'm curious to see what this experiment you are doing will result in. I'd rather save some money on the battery if possible since I usually only keep a phone for a year and I'd like the keep the phone thin.

Currently i'm at 41 % after 24 hr and 27 mins. Since i have gotten this battery i have made it 32 hrs on one full charge. Is this battery better then 1300? Yes

I also have the 3500 mAh battery and that thing will easily go 2 -3 days my findings with that was 41 hours on a single charge everything running.

Extended battery's are always worth it.

I have the seidio 1750 battery and it easily gets me through the day without having do a mid-day recharge. The first 3 or 4 days with the battery I was not impressed but after a couple of charge cycles, I can say it was worth it for me.

Yes, there is a note on the card that came with the battery saying it could take up to 5 or 6 charge cycles before it would be of its total capacity.

Not sure that the extra battery that you guys are getting with the 1750 is worth putting down the amount of money that they want out of it. I think I'd rather just get a cheap OEM and swap as needed. Fortunately I have a pretty long commute and I charge the phone on the way home each day. That easily gets me to bedtime.

How would you charge that second cheap OEM between charges? I guess you'd buy a third party charger that can charge a battery outside of the phone. At that point, you've paid for a second battery and external charger about the same price for a 1750, or perhaps more. Plus, you avoid the hassle of carrying the battery, turning off the phone, taking off the cover, swapping the battery, putting the cover back on, turning it back on...

To each his own, but I prefer the security of the 1750, which I know gets me from 4:30 am to 11 pm with plenty of battery to spare.

Yeah, I'm thinking if I do get another battery it will be the 1750. That would be too much of a hassle to keep switching charged batteries in and out. I'd rather not add something else that can introduce problems/damage to the phone.

I went out for a 2.5 hour run this morning, using SportsTracker Pro to track it (using GPS). When I came home it had 79% battery left. When I did this for a 1 hour 50 minute run a few weeks ago with the stock battery, I had 59% battery left. This battery really makes a difference for me.
