I have a rooted samsung galaxy tab 4. I dont know much about this stuff yet. I kust started dipping my toes in all of this only about 8 months ago. I noticed that some of my root files say they were from 1969, but they didnt say that last week.... why is this???

There used to be a workaround app but it's likely outdated.I have no idea.

I don't root anymore but I saw this from time to time rooting on different phones.

That 69-12-31 is legacy issue with Unix, often referred to as the 'Epoch date'. Back in the day when the CMOS battery in a server would die, the hardware clock would lose its time and the installed Unix OS would flop back to its epoch date.
