    Hi.
I've been watching this forum for the past two months since I got my Eris. Well this morning I installed the OTA update to 2.1.
Since then I cannot sync my SBS03 Exchange email. The strange thing is that the contacts and calendar will eventually sync (after a few hours). I spent the better part of today talking to Verizon and HTC tech support people who have no ideas what to do. I rebooted my server and still have the problem.
First thing I did was do a hard reset on the phone and the problem did not go away.
If anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
    Thank you.

Well here's the thing I have seen with SBS2K3, it uses E2k3 which is not great with EAS. Another thing is that the native mail client is not all that great either. So between the two you are between a rock and a hard place. Do yourself a favor and download the app Touchdown, they have a new 2.1 version which is awesome. It's a free 5 day trial so you're out nothing. Do the manual config and let it detect the Exchange settings. Get back and we can continue to troubleshoot. Touchdown is $20 so don't get too attached if it works and you don't want to pay.

Touchdown connected fine. Makes me more confused. But at least I have something to go back to Verizon with. Thanks so much.

Why bother? How much is your time worth? For $20 you're golden with TD, great support, lifetime upgrades, no more server reboots. If I can save one server reboot it's worth darn near 20 bucks. Especially with SBS! But give them a call if you think you can make some progress. I'd wager you know way more than they do. Best of luck, at least you are connected.

You made some nice points and I purchased the full version. At least I can use 2.1 now.
    Thanks again for the assistance.
