Is there a button/setting to get you back to your homepage? Other than creating a bookmark for it.
Sorry, should have said in the stock browser.
I wish. That's the main reason I'm using Dolphin instead: to be able to exit when I'm done browsing.
There isn't a home button, however, pressing the search button brings up a combined url/search bar. Since my home page was just Google, I don't need to go back. Bringing up the search bar in Dolphin is actually pretty tedious.
I was a Dolphin user on 1.5, but after I installed the leak, I gave the stock browser another chance and I haven't gone back.
Just installed Dolphin. I set Google to my homepage. Dophin is a hell of a lot faster than stock.
dolphin is the bizness
Does anyone have a problem withe the 2.1 stock browser not displaying mobile web pages correctly? Mine display ends up not being formatted to the screen but has a ton of white space to the right.
I prefer xScope. 6 tabs. That would be enough but I just can't make the gestures Dolphin requires. Puleeze! Is it too much to ask to have an easy way to get to my bookmarks?
Leaked or rooted 2.1? I'm on the leak and the stock browser won't run long enough to find problems.
lol yeah mine has crashed a few times just clicking some links, but it has displayed most webpages fine, except these forums in the mobile skin... it tends to have a little white space, only if i scroll to the right.
The one setting you might want to change when you first load 2.1 leaked is to UNCHECK "Start in overview mode" or something like that, and then it will act like 1.5 again and start zoomed it.
I've never used the gestures in Dolphin. I just use the menu, or long press for page options.
homepage in 2.1:
menu> more> Home
I've also found that opening a new window and closing an old one is a good way to exit out quickly on the stock browser
