I had 2.2.1 pushed onto my phone last night and this morning when I took my phone off the charger (which now says 'Your phone is fully charged. Unplug to save energy') my battery life went from 100% to 89% in literally 3 minutes. I wasn't making a phone call or doing anything major besides looking at what the update had changed and I Never had this problem with 2.2. help?

Do a factory reset it this continues and things aren't running quite smoothly, it'll help.

Many on here are saying it saves more battery, but I think the jury is still out on that one. My battery has ran down faster but I've been messing with it more. It is using less battery since I did the factory reset though.

OKay thanks. Another question....I use Handcent and one the sceen is locked it shows I have unread sms messages and only goes away when I open the android messaging app. Is there away to get rid of that? It also shows when I have new emails as well.
