Does anyone know if extra apps can be added to the empty squares in the new car dock, and if so how?
I think fabs nexfro messed something up or you deleted some apps cause I have all 6 boxes full. Its navigation voice search phone contacts music and exit car mode
No, no. He meant on the second "Car Home" page.
Swipe left and there is another page.
I was poking around xda yesterday and they seem to be placeholders for the final release.
I like the new Car Home, but it would be nice if there was an option to swap around the buttons.
PS - anyone notice (in car dock) that when you get out of car home, and then NORMALLY you hit the home key and it brings you back to the Car Home - it doesn't now.
noticed that myself. Very happy about it too.
Ahh shows what I know. Don't use car home very often
I use it every day - b/c I have the Dock. I didn't know there were 2 pages though....
A Pandora square would be nice!
For real - that is what I use in my car, besides navigation....
There is a tiny arrow.
Can you do me a favor?
Car Dock - Car Home - go to your regular Home - Hit the home key ----- Does it take you back to the car dock like it used to??
Thanks in advance - It's driving me nuts
I would love a Trapster square.
Under Music it should allow you to choose your app. I use TuneWiki and if the Music button pointed to that, then I could go straight to internet radio (SHOUTcast) as well as my mP3s.
No, if I exit out of car home it does not take me back in like 2.0/1 did.
DAMMIT - OK
I wonder if this will change.
I've been trying to figure out how to add my own apps to the empty boxes since I first used Car Home. Surely the final build will allow this. I need Slacker and Gesture Search in there.
I need Pandora, Gesture Search and ... something. lol.
I just woke up this morning, but I'm guessing by the responses that I'm not just missing something with the new car dock. I played with it for about 30 minutes last night before I started this thread and could not figure it out, but I was tired so I thought maybe I was missing something. Thanks guys and if anyone does know how please post it.
The placeholders may be for apps to make use of the squares through the SDK, or they may be there for the user to make use of them by placing their favorite app there - we simply do not know.
Personally, I just use IG88's car home. Fully customizable, and multiple screens.
True, but people keep asking for the now answer when there is none.
