Root 2.2 not rooted, will RUU Fix?

Just curious, I know that no one has rooted 2.2 yet.

Has anyone tried flashing the original RUU back to a device? will it accept the downgrade?

I don't think this is possible at this point. I believe that the latest OTA changed the version of hboot on your phone and the RUU can not overwrite it.

Confirmed. I tried 2 different ruu's and even a couple different update zips and pc168 whatever images. Kept failing saying the update is too old or something.
