2.3.6 has now been released in the UK and its a nice Rom :rolleyes:
But getting it is fare from easy
This is what you need to do
Back Up every thing
Then from 2.3.5 do a Factory reset and wipe the internal sd

Now to Kies plug your phone in and egnore the message
then you need to update Kies :eek:
Yes i know it is well No its note
Click update and a box will pop up now this only works with the phone plugged in update Kies
Now do the update

OMG its not worked :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I no
Now unplug your phone turn it off and back on
shut kies down and restart it
Plug your phone back in, Then hit update this time it will work

If you do not update kies first it will crash and give you the screen of death

If Kies is updated and working you do not need to do anything but hit the appropriate key when it asks you to. Certainly not wipe the card or anything. Kies of course may not be working properly - try running Program Repair in Add/Delete Programs in Windows. Kies for Mac by the way will not at the moment work . again.

2.3.6 is very snappy but Samsung TW launcher frequently stopped responding for me. I should probably have re-installed but instead I am using ADW launcher - which I prefer anyway and the Galaxy is at last the device it was, I suppose, originally meant to be. Not been using it long enough to see if the random re-booting issue is fixed
