I just upgraded from a Moto Droid to the Incredible. My incredible only came with a 2GB SD card, so I replaced it with the 16GB from my Moto Droid and formatted it in the Incredible. Now I have a 14.8GB partition with .android_secure and LOST.DIR empty directories, as well as a 6.59GB partition that seems to be where the actual data is. I'm just looking for some clarification on what exactly is happening here, and if I did something wrong. The part that concerns me is 14.8+6.59 is clearly not 16GB, so I'm worried that if I store something on the wrong partition, something is going to be overwritten. Thanks.

When you go to Settings>SD card & phone storage you should see this
    (SD Card)
    Total space:
    depends on your card
    Available space:
    depends on your card
    (Internal Phone Storage)
    Total space:
    6.60GB
    Available space:
    Whatever you have left
    (Phone Memory)
    Total space:
    748MB
    Available space:
    Whatever you have left

The 14.8 is your 16gig sd card. The 6.59 your seeing is your 8gig internal storage. You will only be able to put things like music, photos, movies, ect. on the internal storage. Your apps are going to install in the 748mb of phone memory unless you move them to your sd card.
You can access the internal storage with your computer or using a file management app like astro. Your internal storage is under is the emmc folder.
Hope this helps you understand it better:)

Ah, that makes perfect sense then. How can I tell it to always save pictures and videos from the camera to the SD card?
