Firstly, how can i get the 4.0.4 upgrade? I'm in the UK with an unlocked Gnex i bought directly from samsung.

Secondly, has anyone tried this?: Genuine Samsung Extended Battery Kit for Galaxy Nexus - 2000mAh
the samsung extended battery. I could do with some extra juice but i don't really want to get a third party one, i much prefer to stay with the real deal.

Same as you on the first question. Second question I can answer as I have the same battery kit. I think it roughly gives around three hours extra life which doesn't sound that much but it is actually quite good. I have a silicone case fitted to my Gnex and the bigger battery and cover fit great. It also makes the phone 'feel' a bit better with it being slightly heavier.

Thanks for that, i think an extra 3 hours would be great. I've heard similar from a friend who has it but thought o would like more opinions.

As for the update, I've heard of some issues (although they seem to be mainly in the US) so I'm in no great rush, especially as i like this phone very much anyway, but it would be nice to know how to do the update as my phone tells me i am up to date

There are 4.0.4 Roms and some that are 4.0.4 and 4.0.3 hybrid out there. As far as I know the ROMS are the only way to get the unpushed versions. You may find that the updates resolves your battery concerns as well.

You can download and flash the stock ROM too.. not going to find a source for you though.. but its distributed for those who don't want to wait for OTA.

But obviously if you don't want to unlock and root then you've just got to wait unfortunately.
