I have just put a 16gb sd card in my new flyer. I then proceeded to move all the apps I had downloaded to the sd card.

When browsing the files on the flyer with Astro there are 'two' sd cards listed.

    1. sdcard
    2. sdcard2

The 'sdcard' seems to be the actual 32gb internal memory and the sdcard2 is the 16gb I just installed.

If this is the case then moving apps to the sdcard isn't really doing that at all.

    Am I missing something?

There are two partitions on the internal memory. If you look at the Storage settings page, you'll see that there are 3 total storage locations: your SD Card, a Tablet Storage totaling around 20GB, and Internal Storage with somewhere around 7.5GB available. Counting the inaccessible space that's set aside for the Android ROM, that accounts for the 32GB of space on-board.

Yes, moving your apps to SD is pretty pointless in this instance; you already have 8GB of space to work with on the app partition, and so unless some app really sucks down the space, it'll be a while before you use more than a few GB.

The only thing I hate about this arrangement is that there's no simple way to move backup data to another tablet if this one dies or is damaged. I would suggest plugging in and doing a full backup of your tablet's storage space (both Tablet and SD storage) once in a while, just so you're safe.
