2017. Which Android Ad blocker? (No Root)

I use Chrome.
I do not root.

1) Does anyone here use DNS66 or Block-This ?
2) Are these apps not in Google Play since it messes with Google's business model?

Block This all the way. I've used this for months on my non rooted tablet with virtually no issues. It will close of its own accord on occasion, but it's only happened a handful of times.

Ditto. One of the reasons I don't root as much anymore.

I tested AdGuard Vs dns66 a few months ago, and while I felt that AdGuard was a bit more effective it was very expensive (and I speak as someone who generally prefers paid apps to free).

Am now giving block-this a trial. It has fewer options for the user, but seems to work on the same principles. Will take a few days to get a feel for how performance compares.
