So I think over a class 4 or 6, after reading the forums, I've decided that a class 2 is probably enough to do the trick. I'll just be using it to watch some movies and listen to music -- and am not really concerned if it takes a bit longer than a class 4 to copy music to the card.

With the price difference not being major between a 16gb and a 32gb, I'm looking at a 32gb. From what I've read, both SanDisk and Transcend are very legit companies. Anyone have better/worse experience with one over the other?

Also, I once had a very bad experience using a large memory card in a BB (stuttering, etc.). Is there anything to the idea that a 16gb might function better with the Evo than a 32gb would?

And just to further complicate things... Would you do a 16gb class 4 or a 32gb class 6?

    Thanks!

If the price is no object, why not go with the biggest and the fastest you can get?
EVO is rated up to 32GB....so shouldn't be a problem.

Well, price IS an object... :) That's why I'm trying to weigh a faster class (where I could only afford 16 gb) vs. a larger size (where I could only afford a class 2 speed).

And see if anyone has had problems using a card as big as 32 gb. My old BB curve was rated to handle the 8 gb card, but still had stuttering problems when recording.

If price is an issue, I would stay with the 16GB for now. I just bought a 16GB card for $25 at Fry's... The cheapest 32GB card was $100. I think in 6 months, the 32GB will be below $60.

Do you have a link for the Transcend? Are you sure you didn't accidentally see/order a regular SDHC ($49.81 is the price they have for the regular transcend 32gb class 10 SDHC). The only micro sdhc that I saw from transcend in that size is a class 2 and it's $75.

Also, for anyone interested...Patriot released a 32gb class 10 micro sdhc as well...it's going for about $100 online (newegg.com)

Patroit 32 gb card is super fast ...I get 11 mb/s write and 15mb/s read
compared to my sandisk 32 gb class card were speeds was 6 mb/s and 2 mb/s

Not sure if people with the evos have removed the cap from the evos read abilities on their rooted evos...

How to increase SD card read speed on rooted HTC EVO 4G
