According to the press release by Samsung, they are about to start mass producing 32GB microSD this coming February. w00t!
Now I'm sure half of you will say, "When are they rolling out with 64gb?"
    Well young Skywalker...baby steps.

SEOUL, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world leader in advanced semiconductor technology solutions, today announced two high-density memory solutions for mobile devices. The new storage solutions – a 64-gigabyte (GB) moviNAND memory device and a 32GB micro secure digital (microSD) memory card – satisfy mobile handset designers’ requirements for advanced compact high-density memory.
“The 64GB embedded memory, moviNAND, and the 32GB microSD card each greatly expand the data storage density of mobile devices, meeting customers’ memory requirements and ushering in a new era of mobile and IT device capacity growth.”
“Samsung’s high-density memory solutions bring the storage capacity levels of computing systems to small, mobile devices,” said Dong-Soo Jun, executive vice president, memory marketing, Samsung Electronics.
He added, “The 64GB embedded memory, moviNAND, and the 32GB microSD card each greatly expand the data storage density of mobile devices, meeting customers’ memory requirements and ushering in a new era of mobile and IT device capacity growth.”
The memory solutions are based on Samsung’s advanced 32 gigabit (Gb) NAND flash. The 64GB moviNAND, which measures 1.4mm in height, consists of 16 30nm-class 32Gb MLC NAND chips and a controller. The 17-die stack was achieved by using 30-micron thick chips and advanced package technology. With the new 64GB solution, Samsung’s proprietary embedded memory, moviNAND, is now available in 64GB, 32GB, 16GB, 8GB and 4GB densities.
The 32GB microSD card, developed this month, stacks eight 32Gb NAND components and a card controller. The industry’s highest capacity, production-ready microSD card is enabled by the use of Samsung’s advanced 30-nm class 32Gb NAND flash memory technology. Previously, the highest density microSD card in production had a 16GB capacity and was based on 40nm-class 16Gb NAND. The new 32GB card is 1mm-thick. The portion of the card that is inserted into a handset measures just 0.7 mm in height.
According to market research firm iSuppli, the global NAND flash memory market for 32GB and higher memory cards is forecast to be 530 million units in 2010 and reach 9.5 billion units by 2013 (in 16Gb equivalent units).
Samsung’s new 64GB moviNAND has been in mass production from December 2009, while the 32GB microSD is now being sampled with OEMs, with mass production expected next month.

If you don't have that, your entire life savings and pieces of your soul in a lifetime monthly payment plan may be an option.

Personally I would have no use for a 32GB memory card as I barely use a gig in my magic including everything , but having 32GB memory cards will probably make lower memory cards cheaper :)

And it's another advance , finally someone releasing 32GB versions

Ill be releasing a 1tb micro sd for the low low price of 1999.99

Well something like that would be more useful if we could install apps on it--assuming more advanced gaming apps would be released on the Android Market.

Honestly, when these things come out they're usually like in the hundreds. You'd probably be taking a huge loss selling a 1TB Micro SD card for $1999.99.

Awesome. I'm gonna wait for 64mb or 128mb though.

16 gb goes for $50+ nowadays.
When 32 gb hits the market I'm sure that will go down in value.
I have a 60gig iPod that is basically full. I can def. use more space.
BLNKY: 64mb and 128mb aren't that hard to find and are quite cheap. I take it you meant gb rather than mb.
Either way, word on da street is that the 32 gb is gonna sell for $99.

I think older phones with microSD slots come with like a 64mb card... you don't need to wait for them.

The 16GB cards are $25 at ebay

I wish my DROID had a slot to store extra cards, as I already filled up my 16GB card.

And, it's not porn, it's a bunch of Disney movies, and music. With the extra card holder, I could put all my daughter's video on it, and free up space for my stuff.

u think they would let me sell my soul for the 32 gb micro sd card?

Only if it's untainted and pure... and that'd only be worth 25% credit toward the $1499.99 price tag.

I will probably wait to pick mine up once you can store apps/games to your sd card and not your phones internal memory.

This will cost the same as the Nexus One on 2-year contract.

Knowing Samsung it'll probably be 32 gigs with only 20 gigs usable.
